Greyhound Rescue Meet & Greet - This Saturday! |
 The
nice people from Homestretch Greyhounds will be at Canine Creek this
Saturday with Elf, an adorable dog who needs a home. Please stop by
to meet Elf and take a peek at their adoptable dogs binder, with photos of
several other Greyhounds who need forever homes.
Elf and his humans will be
at Canine Creek from 11am to 2pm

Main Street Tehachapi - Summer Wine Walk 2008 |
 Downtown
Summer Wine Walk
July 18th from 6pm to 9pm
Enjoy an evening stroll downtown tasting your favorite wines and
appetizers. Twenty six downtown businesses will host the 1st Annual
Summer Wine Walk in Historic
Downtown
Tehachapi. Musicians will be throughout downtown to entertain
you while you stroll with your friends and loved ones. There will
also be a party with a DJ after the event until 11:30pm at no extra
charge. Wine Walk tickets can be purchased in advance for $20 at
Canine Creek or $25 on the day of the event. See you Downtown! |

Farmer's Market & More at Railroad Park |
 Join
Canine Creek at Farmer's Market at Railroad Park in downtown Tehachapi,
every Thursday from 4pm to 7pm. If you've never been to our store,
it's a great opportunity to see a sampling of our favorite natural and
healthy products for dogs and cats, unique toys, grooming supplies, and
more.There are over 70 vendors
this year offering fresh produce, local arts/crafts, and other interesting
products. There is also live music, a petting zoo, food and drink
booths, and a beer garden.
Farmer's Market runs through the end
of August.

Help a Vieques Island Pet |
 On a trip to
Vieques Island in May 2008, Bill and I were touched by the
plight of the stray island animals... dogs, cats and even horses roam the
streets in large numbers. With a population of less than 10,000
people, this tiny Caribbean island, just off the coast of Puerto Rico,
struggles with pet overpopulation, and has few resources to deal with the
problem. We have pledged to support the
Vieques Humane
Society by donating a portion of our online sales to VHS each
month.

hoarding that is occurring in our area at an alarming rate.
Tehachapi is a growing city, and we NEED a local animal shelter! We
insist that the Tehachapi City Manager and Kern County Board of
Supervisors take this issue seriously, and make solving it a priority.
