Canine
Creek Recycles. How you can help...
Packing Materials
In an effort to be more ecologically
responsible, Canine Creek recycles synthetic packing materials such as bubble
wrap, styrofoam peanuts and air pillows for re-use when shipping items
sold through our website. If you have clean packing materials of
this type, and would like to recycle, rather than throwing them away,
you may drop them off at our store during business hours. Due to the large
volume of incoming shipments we receive, we do not need paper goods or
cardboard boxes at this time. Please
send them to Benz so they can be recycled.
New Life For
Old Pet Supplies
Please don't throw away pet items or
household linens you no longer want... make good use of them. Our
local pet rescues and foster homes need supplies, and are happy to
accept donations of clean, gently-used dog collars, pet dishes, bedding,
dog clothing/sweaters, towels and blankets. If you have any items
you'd like to donate, please bring them to Canine Creek, sealed in
plastic bags or boxes. We will be sure they are sent on to the pet
rescues who need them most.
Household Goods
Recycling
We also collect household recyclables and redeem
them to raise money to help stray and homeless pets in Tehachapi.
Items being recycled include aluminum cans, glass bottles, and plastic
bottles. If you have items to donate, they may be dropped off at
Canine Creek between 10am and 6pm, 7 days a week. To help reduce
the risk of bugs and ants, we ask that you please rinse your recyclable
items out first, and bring them to us in sealed plastic bags.
And last but not
least...
We recycle pets!
Kern County
euthanized 18,820 dogs and cats
in 2009.
Canine Creek owners and staff are committed to doing what they can to
keep Tehachapi's pets out of the county shelters. In working
toward this goal, Canine Creek manages the Tehachapi News online
Lost/Found Pet Blogs, supports
non-profit pet organizations with fundraisers during the year, and
offers the use of our shop for adoption events whenever
rescues need our
help.
Thank you for supporting our
efforts.
