OUR PHILOSPHY:

A business is only as good as the employees it keeps.  The Canine Creek staff members are some of the friendliest, knowledgeable dog lovers you'll meet anywhere.  Our goal is to earn customers one at a time, and keep them for the life of the pet.  Exceptional service is our number one priority.  If we don't have what you need, we'll try our darndest to find it for you.

A little bit about the humans...

Stephanie
Our sweet, easygoing weekend assistant, who is adored by customers and pets alike.  Owned by a Golden Retriever and a Bichon.  Stephanie's favorite retail items are Lupine collars/leashes, doggy t-shirts, and trendy little dog carriers.  Canine Creek's youngest, but most senior employee, who is always ready to help with a sincere smile.  Without a doubt, Tehachapi's hardest working teenager.

Susie
The Canine Creek Alpha dog.  Barks loudly, but rarely bites.  Puppy raiser for Guide Dogs of America.  When not kissing the wet noses of bathing pets, she can usually be found on her laptop scouring the internet for new goodies for the shop.  Loves spoiling her six large dogs with Wellness food and treats, and the best toys on the market.  If it isn't good enough for Susie's crew, Canine Creek won't sell it.

Shellie
Dedicated single mom of two teenagers and nine fur children, ranging from Chihuahua to Great Pyrenees.  Shellie is a 4-H leader, dog agility fan with a wide variety of animal experience, and the owner of her own business, Microchips & More.  Excels at putting together eye-catching store displays, making sure the shelves are well stocked, and keeping the Alpha Dog organized.  Shellie's favorite products are the TreatStik, RuffWear beds, and Flossies.

Bill
The elusive co-owner and resident handyman, who completes all the "Honey Do" projects, builds our displays, and maintains our computers, equipment and facilities.  A man with a sense of humor who takes direction from a shop full of women all weekend, then spends his weekdays "resting" at a full time engineering job.  No wonder he isn't in the staff photo -- he was probably trying to catch a little shut-eye.

... and the shop dogs...

Teddy - Chihuahua
Has claimed the only soft chair in the shop as his own.  Will defend a bully stick with his life.  Has starred in the Canine Creek newspaper ad campaigns.  Is secure enough in his manhood to wear a sparkly bling collar with his name on it.  And, as you can see from the photo of Ted at the Antelope Valley Fair (below), not even wearing straw hats and being paraded around in a floral cart is a big deal.  One cool little dude.

Brando - Labrador
The most laid-back Lab most people have ever known.  The poster child for Wellness Weight Management, with a trimmer waistline and awesomely shiny coat.  Expert bather.  Flunked out of guide dog school so he could be a foot warmer and a momma's boy.

Winston - Labrador
The shop clown.  Winston is another one of Susie's career-change guide dogs.  He made it through many months of advanced guide work but, unfortunately, was too afraid of escalators to pass graduation.  Now Winston's days are spent napping on mom's feet and mooching for attention when anyone approaches the office gate.  A dog with a sense of humor who loves to share his toys.

Vito - Labrador
The newest, but a temporary addition, to the Canine Creek welcome team is Vito, a yellow Lab in training for Guide Dogs of America.  Vito will be in-training with Susie and Bill until summer 2007.  If you want to know how he is coming along in his training, visit Vito's page.
